NGC 2353 - an open star cluster in the constellation Monoceros
NGC 2353 - ist ein offener Sternhaufen im Sternbild Einhorn. Er ist etwa 3.500 Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem entfernt und wird nach Trumpler der Klasse II 2 p zugeordnet. Er beinhaltet etwa 200 Sterne und wurde im Januar 1785 von William Herschel entdeckt.
Object description
NGC 2353 - is an open star cluster in the constellation Monoceros. It is about 3,500 light-years from the solar system and is classified as Trumpler Class II 2 p. It contains about 200 stars and was discovered in January 1785 by William Herschel.
