Nova Velorum - V-572 Vela
Nova Velorum - zeigt unser Bild, aufgenommen am 30. Juni mit unserem PlaneWave Astrographen. Entdeckt am 25. Juni, zeigt unser Bild die Nova zum Zeitpunkt ihrer größten Helligkeit bei etwa 4mag8, somit war die Nova mit bloßem Auge im Sternbild Segel des Schiffs sichtbar.
Alle Novae sind Doppelsternsysteme bei denen Materie von einem roten Riesenstern auf Grund von Gravitation auf einen Weißen Zwergstern fließt, bis eine kritische Grenze erreicht wird und die Materie "thermonuklear zündet".
Das besondere an der Nova Velorum: etwa zeitgleich war am Himmel die Nova Lupi 2025 (V-462- Lupi) am Himmel sichtbar, von der wir hier ein Bild zeigen.
Object description
Nova Velorum - shows our image, taken on June 30 with our PlaneWave astrograph. Discovered on June 25, our image shows the nova at its maximum brightness of approximately 4-mag-8, making it visible to the naked eye in the constellation Vela.
All novae are binary star systems in which matter flows from a red giant star to a white dwarf star due to gravity until a critical limit is reached and the matter "thermonuclearly ignites."
What is special about Nova Velorum is that at around the same time, Nova Lupi 2025 (V-462-Lupi) was visible in the sky, a picture of which we show here.
