NGC 4103 - Open star cluster in the constellation Southern Cross
NGC 4103 ist ein stark konzentrierter offener Sternhaufen im Sternbild Kreuz des Südens. Er beinhaltet etwa 45 Sterne, wird nach Trumpler der Klasse I 3 m zugeordnet und ist ungefähr 5.300 Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem entfernt. NGC 4103 wurde am 30. April 1826 von James Dunlop entdeckt.
Object description
NGC 4103 is a strongly concentrated open star cluster in the constellation Southern Cross. It contains about 45 stars, is assigned to class I 3 m according to Trumpler and is approximately 5,300 light-years away from the solar system. NGC 4103 was discovered by James Dunlop on April 30, 1826.
