Objektbeschreibung:

NGC 2547 ist ein heller und junger offener Sternhaufen im Sternbild Vela. Er beinhaltet etwa 80 Sterne mit einem Alter von nur 20 bis 30 Millionen Jahre. Nach Trumpler wird er der Klasse II 2 p nzugeordnet. Entdeckt wurde NGC 2547 in Südafrika vom Astronomen Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. Weitere Informationen der ESO hier.

Object description

NGC 2547 is a bright and young open star cluster in the constellation Vela. It contains about 80 stars with an age of only 20 to 30 million years. According to Trumpler it is assigned to class II 2 p n. NGC 2547 was discovered in South Africa by astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. More information from ESO here..
