Objektbeschreibung:

Messier 42/43 - sind ein Teil des Orion-Molekülwolkenkomplex. Es ist ein gewaltiger Komplex aus Sternentstehungsregionen und etwa zwischen 1.000 und 1.500 Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem und mehrere hundert Lichtjahre groß. Seine Gesamtmasse wird auf etwa 300.000 Sonnenmassen geschätzt.

Object description

Messier 42/43 - are part of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. It is a vast complex of star-forming regions located between 1,000 and 1,500 light-years from the solar system and spanning several hundred light-years. Its total mass is estimated to be about 300,000 solar masses.
