Objektbeschreibung:

IC 4603 - ist ein Reflexionsnebel mit eingebetteten Sternen im Sternbild Ophiuchus. Er ist ein Teil des großen Dunkelwolken- und Nebelkomplexes rund um den Stern Antares. Die komplette Region liegt nur etwa 450 Lichtjahre vom Sonnensystem entfernt und wurde im Jahr 1882 fotografisch von Edward Barnard entdeckt.

Object description

IC 4603 - is a reflection nebula containing embedded stars in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is part of the large complex of dark clouds and nebulae surrounding the star Antares. The entire region is located only about 450 light-years from the solar system and was discovered photographically by Edward Barnard in 1882.
