Moon Images on Juni/July and August/September
2018
|
The following images was
taken at the end of march 2018. All images were exposed in the focus of the C14
of the Onjala Observatory. The video module was a Celestron SkyRis 445M in
combination with a Baader IrPass filter. For each raw sum image, 1,500
individual images were recorded, of which 10% each were edited. The editing
software was AviStack and Photoshop CS 2. All images are
opened in a separate browser window, just click on the respective
thumbnail.
Moon images from 25 March 2018,
Rohavis taken between 16:30 and 17:30 UT (sunset at 17 UT). Moon age 8.1 days,
60% illumination. Maximum libration: North Pole. |

Lunar images from 30 March 2018. Moon age 13.1 days, 99%
illumination. Maximum libration: Mare Australe.
The pictures show rarely - in
high resolution - lunar details, among others the Vallis Inghirami, the groove
systems Darwin, Sirsalis and Riccioli, the large lunar dome Grimaldi 3 and the
crater Wargentin filled to the rim with lava. |
