Interesting image details

Image 009 - shows the poorly understood lunar structure Lamont, a region of concentric and radial ridges. Lamont is the center of a MASCONS - a mass concentration. The lunar domes Arago Alpha and Beta are west of Lamont.

Image 016 - shows a nameless fault (long straight structure) which also proceeds into a rille. At sunrise the fault appears excactly straight as drawn with a ruler.

NEW 2016 - The left picture shows the lunar structure La Mont at a Moon age of 5.9 days. In the center there is a mass concentration a so-called MASCON. The image quality is not so good here and the processing is extreme, but it shows the ridge system of La Mont in its whole extent. East of La Mont is a system of rilles with the unofficial name "Rima Diamondback" (Crew Apollo 11).
