| Description of object: Besinde the central part, imaged with the PlaneWave CDK 17", we also took this widefield image with the small 110mm TEC. This wonderful nebula is an easy target with the unaided eye and still visible under moonlight. The diameter in the sky is about three times the Moon, see image above. The CDK high resolution image of the central part includig the famous "Herschels Keyhole Nebula" with a detailed modern and historical description of NGC 3372 you´ll find here. |
